Adrian Tay Kien Chong obtained his LL.B (Hons.) from Multimedia University in 2010 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2011. He began his legal career with Messrs Khairuddin, Ngiam & Tan in 2011 as an Associate in the Corporate and Finance Department.

With strong foundations in conveyancing, banking and finance law, Adrian expanded his expertise to meet industry demand by earning Associate Qualification in Islamic Finance accredited by the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM). Adrian’s deep understanding of both conventional and Islamic finance positions him as a versatile and forward-thinking advisor in today’s evolving financial landscape.

Currently serving as a Senior Partner and Head of the Banking & Finance Department at KNT, Adrian plays a key role in driving the firm’s growth and market presence. Adrian’s leadership, strategic insight, and commitment to service excellence have made him a go-to legal partner for clients seeking clarity, efficiency, and commercially driven solutions.

Beyond his contributions to the firm, Adrian was appointed on contract as a Service Provider by a prominent bank in Malaysia in 2024. In this capacity, Adrian provided legal advisory services on the bank’s financing transactions, reinforcing his practical expertise and standing within the industry’s business lines.
