Deborah Lau Ee Yi
Known for her academic excellence, Deborah Lau Ee Yi graduated with a First Class Honours in LLB (Hons.) from the University of Cardiff in 2019 and passed the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) on first attempt in 2021.
Deborah started her journey with KNT as an intern in early 2021, and later commenced pupillage in the same year under the tutelage of Kevin De Rozario, the firm’s Senior Partner. During her pupillage, Deborah focused on litigation matters but was also exposed to conveyancing work. She is well-versed in both of these areas as a result.
Upon being called to the Malaysian Bar in 2022, Deborah was retained as Legal Associate by the firm. She currently serves in the Litigation Department, with a primary focus on general litigation where she actively handles files involving contractual disputes, tenancy disputes, probate & administration, employment matters and criminal litigation.
Deborah is well-liked by clients for her friendly persona and is known for her ability to resolve disputes constructively, pragmatically and in clients’ best interest.
