Khushwant Dhanoa is a legal professional with over two decades of experience in banking and finance law, corporate matters, and cross-border transactions. Called to the Malaysian Bar in 1997, he now applies his extensive legal background to advising on Australian-Malaysian business opportunities.

Khushwant began his legal career at Messrs Norendra & Yap, gaining extensive expertise in civil litigation, corporate criminal matters, and banking law. In 2000, he joined Malayan Banking Berhad as Legal Counsel, where he provided litigation advice, drafted legal documents, and contributed to the development of Multi-Currency Trade Finance Facilities. He also holds an Associate Qualification in Islamic Finance from the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM).

In 2005, Khushwant became Managing Partner of Messrs Khairuddin, Ngiam & Tan, successfully leading the firm through 17 years of significant growth. His areas of expertise include facility documentation, vessel financing, and cross-border transactions. In November 2022, he transitioned to Executive Partner, where he continues to provide strategic expertise and mentorship to the firm’s conveyancing, corporate, and commercial practice areas.
