Ngiam Kee Tong, the founder of KNT, obtained his LLB (Hons.) degree from the University of Malaya way back in 1978. Having called to the Malaysian Bar in 1979, he served as Legal Associate in Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co. He then joined Messrs Nik Hussain & Partners and became Partner in 1983.

In 1984, Ngiam set up Messrs Khairuddin, Ngiam & Tan along with Khairuddin Sulaiman and Tan Boon Hock.

With more than 40 uninterrupted years of legal practice, it is KNT’s honour to have Ngiam remain as Consultant of the firm, where he generously imparts invaluable knowledge and wisdom to the firm’s lawyers. Ngiam currently co-heads KNT’s Corporate and Commercial Department along with Khushwant Dhanoa, the firm’s Executive Partner.

Apart from legal practice, Ngiam holds several prominent positions in various public listed companies. He currently serves as senior independent director in Oceancash Pacific Berhad, director in TA Investment Management Berhad and its Investment Committee, and director in Saujana Resort (M) Berhad, a non-listed public company.
